Jesus brings us the Holy Spirit - but when the Spirit comes, He doesn't come alone! He brings gifts - an inheritance give to be given away! So that through us, the promise of God's redemption power can be released to all!

Real Church // Part 11 // The Giver & The Gifted

In the letters of Ephesians, before Paul instructs us how to walk as Christians, he instructs us how to sit as Christians. We need to learn to sit in the finished work of Christ, in order to walk in a healthy manner doing the work of God!

Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore it says, “When He ascended on high, He led captive a host of captives, and He gave gifts to men.”

We have a destiny to bring glory to God! We have God's engagement ring - His Holy Spirit - a promise of His presence in us and with us forever!

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

Real Church // Part 8 // What Are We Full Of?

We need to be a church of His presence like never before. His presence is the hope of the world! The differentiating factor. The hope of renewal and life and wholeness and recovery and refreshing. His Kingdom coming on earth as it is in Heaven.

 

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lordʼs people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Real Church // Part 7 // Setting The Heavens in Earthly Places - Part 3

Miracles can begin from the spoken word but are then brought to completion through our beautiful feet. The mission doesn’t end at the "Inn" but when that one is ‘setting the heavens in earthly places’, too!

Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, (so that it will give grace to those who hear)...Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Real Church // Part 6 // Setting The Heavens in Earthly Places - Part 2

The Trinity has - and always will - EULOGIZE. The dead called to life. The living called to greater grace. And the Church to deeper dimensions of identity.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, ...made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
